The Challenge

Hudson Restoration & Construction is a licensed restoration and remodeling contractor serving Huntsville and North Alabama. The work was there. The online presence was not.

There was no website. No Google Business Profile. No reviews. For a business that depends on people finding help fast, that is close to invisible.

Restoration is a category where the search happens under pressure. A homeowner with water in the walls or smoke damage in the kitchen opens Google and picks from what is in front of them, usually within the hour. Hudson could not appear in that moment, because there was nothing for Google to show.

Every job came from word of mouth. That is a real channel and it built the business, but it caps growth at the size of the owner's network and it produces nothing when the phone goes quiet.

Our Approach

We built the three pieces of local search infrastructure the business was missing, in the order that compounds fastest.

A website, built from scratch. Hudson had never had one. The site covers what the company actually does, restoration and remodeling, for the towns it serves across North Alabama, so there is something for Google to match against when someone searches for help nearby.

Google Business Profile, set up and verified. For a local service business this is the highest-value asset available, and it costs nothing to claim. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance, and prominence. Distance is fixed. The profile is where the other two are won.

A review generation system. Not a one-off request to a handful of past customers, but a repeatable ask built into the end of the job, so reviews accumulate instead of arriving in a single burst and then stopping.

The sequence matters. The website gives Google something to index, the profile puts the business on the map, and reviews build the prominence that decides which of the local options a homeowner actually calls.

The Results

Every number below started at zero. Not low, not underperforming. Zero, because on January 1, 2026 there was no website to measure, no profile to rank, and no reviews to count.

Here is where they stood on August 26, eight months later.

21,500 search impressions. Hudson now appears in front of people searching for restoration and construction help across North Alabama, on a domain that did not exist at the start of the year. That is roughly 2,700 times a month that a homeowner with a problem saw this company as an option, in a market where the business was previously unfindable.

88 appearances in Google's AI-powered results. This is the surface that sits above the traditional listings and answers the homeowner's question directly. It is also the one most restoration companies in this market have no presence in at all yet. Hudson got there in year one, which is the clearest early lead the company holds over competitors with a decade of history behind them.

9 five-star Google reviews and a 5.0 rating. The trust signal that was missing entirely. A homeowner comparing two contractors during an emergency now has a reason to pick this one, and unlike advertising, that profile keeps earning the comparison every month whether or not anyone is spending.

The website, the profile, and the reviews all belong to Hudson. They keep working whether or not the relationship continues, which is the difference between building an asset and renting attention.
